The stock catalog: how it's filtered, licensed and tracked
AiViralCut ships a small, curated set of stock imagery for b-roll and cutaways. This page documents how the catalog is structured and licensed — it is not a mirror of any provider's catalog, and full catalogs live at the providers themselves.
How the catalog is wired
- Source. The bundled entries are photographs served from Pexels and Pixabay public endpoints. We ship a handful of entries per category rather than republishing anyone's full catalog — browse the providers for breadth.
- License metadata travels with every asset. Each entry records its provider, license type, commercial-use flag and attribution requirement. The AI b-roll matcher and the asset panel only surface entries that pass the commercial-use filter by default.
- The compliance record is yours. The Manifest button in the assets panel generates a per-project license manifest as a downloadable file — the real artifact you hand an auditor or platform when asked where your footage came from.
- Static imagery, honestly labeled. The current catalog is photographs used as cutaways — motion clips are planned, not shipped. The editor renders them as image layers on V1/V2 with crop, scale and layer ordering.
What we won't do
We don't republish provider catalogs as our own pages, don't invent license terms, and don't scrape or rehost provider media. Catalog contents can change at the source; the manifest you export with your project records what you actually used at edit time — that record, plus the provider's current terms, is what matters commercially.
First-hand captures
Recorded from the production build of this site: a real browser session driving the real editor, with no cuts or retakes. Output files below were produced by the editor's own export engine.
Supported formats
- Catalog assets: remote-hosted photographs (JPEG) referenced by URL, rendered as image layers
- License fields per asset: provider, license type, commercial-use flag, attribution requirement, source URL
- Manifest output: downloadable JSON recording the license state of every asset in the project
Known limitations
- Static photos only — no motion clips in the bundled catalog yet
- Assets load from provider CDNs; offline editing needs your own imported media
- A commercial-use flag is a starting point, not legal advice — verify the provider's current terms before monetizing
Browse the catalog in the editor's Assets panel, and read the bundled sound library for the audio half of the collections.
